2015 Pratt Vineyard Pinot Noir

Jim Pratt began developing this vineyard in the late 1990's, on a site south of Graton and west of Sebastopol on the far western portion of the Sonoma Coast in an area known as the Sebastopol Hills.  The slightly sloping hillside receives the classic morning fog and warm afternoons common to the coastal region, producing fruit with great acidity.

This vineyard is on the western edge of the Russian River where the vines morph into the Sonoma Coast and you get flavors of wild berry and exotic floral notes.  I am really attracted to the bright acidity that makes the dark fruit pop and creates intensity and length.
